This week

Procrastination hit hard this week around here.
I wanted to do a blog post everyday, put it off until later, and here i am now FINALLY writing it!

I have on my new glasses now. I ordered them online, so I had no idea if I would like them or not, and well.... I don't think I would have picked them in the store, but I don't think they look bad on me.

I mean I spent all of $14 on them including shipping, so I can't complain. I think my eye also have to get used to them before I really start to enjoy them. BTW I so want to kiss whoever invented contacts. I have no idea what I would do without them! Well I do know, but I wouldn't feel as pretty. I've been self conscious about wearing glasses for as long as I can remember. They just don't fit me.


I got my "packet" from MJH yesterday too!
Pretty much all that means is they told me my first 2 weeks schedule, and gave me basic info. For example, where to take my drug test and get my background check done. I mean come on now, we know I'll fail the drug test and definitely fail the criminal background check. (HA!) But really, just the basics.
They did tell me though that I will be doing nights of course, and every other weekend. I offered to do weekends because of the incredible differential, because I figure that gets me one step closer to a house.

I found what seems to be the PERFECT house! I refuse to rent because I feel as if that is money going down the drain, so I would LOVE to get this house. it is in my price range(which isn't much!),has a new kitchen, and the best part is that the house is renovated all over!
Plus a small pool and 2 car garage doesn't hurt!

If anyone that happens to read this knows anyone that would like to buy this for me, or would like to buy it for me as a "rent to own" they should let me know! :)

PURCHASED!

Yesterday I went to Chimney Corner thinking I would find nice Vera stuff on clearance, but everything there was happened to be something I would never use. As a result, I did get 3 sppons that were 75 percent off, and I got two other items......


This lovely planner that you saw on my blog the other day that I had said I wanted....
and this!




I got this wristlet because it fits my blackberry in it perfectly. I figure it will be perfect for the cruise, and so that I don't have to lug a big purse around with non essentials in it so much.

It was between this wristlet, and a frill tote bag I had found inside on clearance. I had soooo many tote bags, and had been eyeing a wristlet like this for so long that I couldn't resist it!



And it worked out perfectly because when I got to the pool I got a check from my aunt for a graduation gift that I had gotten that wasn't up to par, and the company said I can keep the gift too!
PLUS, to top it off I also got a late graduation gift from one of the little boys at the pool. So all in all, my trip yesterday was paid for by a defective present, plus I still have the money I got!

Quickie

Netflix has taken over my slightly productive summer.

Ive watched all the episodes available of Army Wives, and now I'm half way through In Plain Sight.
It's not too bad thoug, because I know to enjoy my time off now, because come August my life will be difficult because I will be juggling a full time overnight job, two online classes, and possibly nannying.

As long as I get through August and September, I have the cruise in October waiting for me!!

HIRED!!

I just got the call that I am officially hired to start Aug. 8th!
Some of the fine detials haven't been worked out yet, but I am excited!!

I finally caved in yesterday, and bought my first pair of Danskos!
I had been hesitant about it because of the high price, but my poor clarks that are similar are on their last leg, I mean bottoms starting to flap when I walk, superglue can't even fix them (trust me I tried!)
They lasted 5 years with continuous wear, so I won't complain!

I hope these babies last even longer!!






I think as a present to myself for getting the job, I will buy this:

Virtually perfect to keep my school and work schedule in!

Job

Guess who is your newest certified nursing assitant at the new Martha Jefferson hospital? This girl right HERE! :)
Yesterday morning I had an appointment with the nurse that hires on her floor( which also happens to be my moms best friend's sister), and this morning I had a second interview with two of her coworkers(one happened to be my moms best friend :))

It went great! My heebie jeebies were all for nothing it seems. As soon as we got on the elevator this morning I was told I had the job!

It will be hard to do night shift, adjust to a new schedule, new people, and the everchanging environment, but I know that with my own self-determination adn the lord's guidance I will do just fine!

I'm so sad to leave my sweet Cy! He is such a good baybay! I hope to still watch him one or two days a week, depending on my schedule!

Graduated AND Growing up....all in less than a month

It's true kiddos. Believe it or not, this girl has graduated! With an advacned studies diploma at that!

That was 3 weeks ago... and I've done a lot of growing up since then.


First, I had a graduation partayyy. It was a great time with GREAT friends and family. Except that storm that came through. That was not so fun.






Then the next weekend my grandmother passed away unexpectedly. It has hit my family hard, especially my mom, but we are gonna be okay :)
We know she is in heaven now having a grand old time with ehr dear friends and my grandfather.

Then yesterday.... I GOT A CALL! I have a job interview tomorrow morning at Martha Jefferson Hospital! It is a nursing assitant position! I hope to get 3-12 hour shifts, and then work night shift for extra moolah to get my own place.
